Dress Code

Please note:Allowances will be made for children who have specific medical/physical needs recommended by a doctor’s note. Please inform the school if for any reason your child needs to deviate from our uniform policy.

Ties & Water Bottles:
School ties and reusable water bottles can be purchased through the ParentMail App or online at https://pmx.parentmail.co.uk/ and will be sent to your child’s class.

Reading Folder, Rucksacks / Large bags:
All pupils require a Reading Folder / Book bag which can be bought at Maisie’s uniform shop in Wolverton or ordered online at https://maisies-superstore.co.uk/product-category/schools/
Rucksacks and large bags are not permitted due to the lack of space in school. Pupils should be using the school book bags to transport and store reading books.

Jewellery
On health and safety grounds we do not allow children to wear jewellery in our school. The exceptions to this rule are earring studs in pierced ears (to be removed or covered with a plaster during PE). Any small objects of religious significance, such as a crucifix on a chain can be discussed with the Headteacher on an individual basis.

Haircuts
The school does not permit children to have haircuts that could serve as a distraction to other children. E.g. Mohawk Style. Extreme shaved patterns/styles, coloured braids, fashion hair accessories or multi-coloured beads are all not permitted. For reasons of health and safety and to avoid the spread of head lice, children (boys and girls) with shoulder length hair and longer, should have their hair tied back.

Mobile Phones
If children bring Mobile phones into school, they must be switched off and handed into the office before registration and collected after school has finished.

We believe that parents have a duty to send their children to school correctly dressed and ready for their daily schoolwork and ask you to support the school uniform policy. Parents should ensure that their child has the correct uniform, that it is clean and in good repair, and is clearly labelled.

If you need name labels or stamps to label your child’s belongings using either of the links below will give a donation to the Friends of St Monica’s charity (FOSM).
