On behalf of the Friends of St. Monica’s (FOSM) I would like to take this opportunity to extend a very warm welcome to you and to introduce ourselves.
Every parent or guardian whose child is attending St. Monica’s is automatically a member of the school’s Friends of St. Monica’s. The Friends of St. Monica’s is managed by a committee comprising of parent volunteers and teachers who are elected every year in October.
The primary role of the Friends of St. Monica’s is to provide an informal community and a primary communication line between parents, governors and school staff. The Friends of St. Monica’s is a registered charity and provides financial support to the school through a series of fundraising activities throughout the year. We host a number of regular fundraising and social events, such as school discos, Christmas bazaar, summer fete as well as special one-off events.

Money raised by the Friends of St. Monica’s is primarily used to finance additional equipment for the school such as: CD players for classrooms, P.A. System for the school hall, laminators, cameras, new play equipment for the playgrounds and also various other expenses are covered that benefit the children and which are not normally funded by the school.
