We are thrilled to welcome Luna, a hypoallergenic and non-shedding Lhasa Poo, as our new school dog!
Research consistently demonstrates that dogs in educational settings can have a hugely positive impact on children’s mental health, well-being, confidence, and emotional support. Luna belongs to Mrs Read and is already familiar with our school after visiting during the holidays.
Luna will start by spending one day a week with us, based in the school offices and always under adult supervision. Once settled, she will support our pupils in various ways, for example acting as a comforting presence, a relaxed reading buddy, and a beloved class mascot.
Note: Our work with Medical detection dogs continues as normal, and Bobbin will still be visiting us regularly!

Hello everyone, my name is Luna! I’m three years old, and my breed is a Lhasa Poo. That’s a mix of Lhasa Apso and toy Poodle. That means I’m completely hypoallergenic and non-shedding, so you can cuddle me all day without me leaving any fur on you!
I may be small (only 3.7 kilograms), but I have a massive heart with endless love to give. I just adore being around children. When I’m not showering people with affection, you can usually find me zooming around in a big open field, enjoying a proper run, or playing a game of fetch – I just love having a small ball to play with – especially if it squeaks! I am a very well-behaved dog and can even do some little tricks if you have a tasty treat for me.
I can’t wait to meet you because I just know we are going to be the best of friends.
