The Government has provided funding to schools to achieve self-sustaining improvement in the quality of PE and sport in primary schools.
The vision is for all pupils to leave primary school physically literate with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy, active lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport. In addition to this, it is the Government’s aim to ensure that children are offered a minimum of 30 minutes activity in school with support to gain another 30 minutes outside of school.
